Who is behind GreenPower?

State governments around Australia have teamed up to run the GreenPower accreditation program.

The people behind GreenPower represent several state government agencies and departments, plus a number of non-financial members.

GreenPower representatives include:

• ACT Government
• Industry and Investment, NSW
• Office of Clean Energy, Queensland
• Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure, South Australia
• Sustainability Victoria

GreenPower observers include:

• Department of Environment and Heritage, Commonwealth
• Department of Business, Industry and Resource Development, Northern Territory
• Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources, Tasmania
• Office of Energy, Western Australia

The National GreenPower Accreditation Program sets the rules for GreenPower products and independently audits GreenPower retailers’ sales and purchases and generators’ operations to make sure they are meeting the accreditation criteria.
