The National GreenPower Steering Group is currently in discussions with energy retailers and the Commonwealth Government regarding the interaction of the GreenPower Program and the Carbon Price.

 

We expect to have information published prior to 1 July 2012 regarding how the Carbon Price may interact with GreenPower, this information will be posted on our webpage and customers will be notified through a bill insert in the mail.

 

Due to the difference in purchase arrangements for different electricity retailers the treatment of GreenPower under a carbon pricing scenario may vary from retailer to retailer.

 

A new set of marketing guidelines are currently being developed and will be available for comment to all GreenPower Providers in May.
