Early March, Origin announced it will support Sydney Opera House's energy and sustainability goals by helping to increase their GreenPower to 10 per cent from March 2011. This will form part of an ongoing strategy to complement the House's energy and sustainability plan including offsetting emissions for two major Sydney Opera House events and festivals.

Sydney Opera House Chief Executive, Richard Evans added, "We have a duty to integrate environmental sustainability into everything we do. Sydney Opera House is committed to reducing our environmental impact and conserving resources to ensure that the next generation has the same opportunities as ourselves."
